Analog Electronics I (2311ENG)

This course covers the concepts and components of electrical circuits and develops the fundamental circuit analysis and fault finding skills necessary to understand all electrical circuits. Circuit components such as resistors, capacitors and inductors and non-linear components such as diodes are studied progressing onto rectifiers, comparators and A/D and D/A converters. Analysis techniques include Kirchoff's laws, Thevenin/Norton equivalent circuits, time response of energy storage elements, sinusoidal steady state and frequency-domain analysis.
