Italian 2B Written (2092LHS)

This course further extends students' competence in writing and reading, their vocabulary and understanding of Italian grammar. Through the composing of their autobiography the course introduces students to a range of writing strategies (such as self-correction and redrafting) and a variety of grammatical, syntactic and semantic structures of the Italian language. Through the study of short stories, it also aims to develop students' reading strategies, skills in textual analysis and understanding of social and cultural developments in certain periods of recent Italian history. PREREQUISITE: 2090LHS Italian 2A or equivalent.
