Spanish 2B (2081LHS)

This course continues a communicative approach to language learning and teaching. Although oral proficiency is emphasised, 2081LHS focuses on developing all four communicative macro-skills. Consolidating your basic 'social' proficiency, 2081LHS progresses you towards a basic 'vocational' proficiency, equivalent to the B2 Vantage level of proficiency of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. By preparing you for Spanish study at advanced level (3086LHS or 3090LHS), 2081LHS helps you to develop as a proficient Spanish speaker and competent global citizen. As a 10 credit point course with 4 weekly contact hours, 2081LHS presumes that you spend around 8.5 hours per week on additional private preparatory study. Prerequisites: 2080LHS OR 2082LHS OR equivalent proficiency level certified by means of a placement test administered by our Spanish teaching staff. Co-requisites: NIL Incompatible: 2083LHS / 2083LAL Spanish 2B (Enhanced).
