The Reality and Future of Work (2011EHR)

This course examines the modern reality of work and its future in light of developments in technology, the economy, globalisation, demography, income distribution and climate change. It will look at differing visions of the future and analyse such issues as digital platforms and work, management, voice, collective behaviour, gender and regulation. Prerequisites: minimum completion of 80 credit points of study including 1001EHR Work and Employability/ 1001EHR Employment Relations/ 1081EHR Employment Relations. Co-requisites: NIL. Incompatible: 3008EHR Workplace Industrial Relations/ 3008EHR Workplace IR.
