Introduction to Musical Theatre (1303QCM)

This course is designed to provide an overview of musical theatre styles and practices from the early 20th century to the present day. The course discusses compositional features, structures and dramatic conventions to allow students to identify and evaluate functions of musical theatre. There are no pre-requisites for this course. Students from backgrounds other than music are welcome to undertake the course.
