This course provides an introduction to the distinctive conventions and practices of writing for assessment in university courses. It focuses on the study of and practice with rhetorically-based concepts such as genre, purpose, argumentation, and audience, and the strategies successful academic writers use to incorporate information and viewpoints from existing sources.
